This is an "Open Letter" to the Goldendale Community addressed to Sam Consalvi about the new "Goldendale
Only" Phone Book received on 08/06/09. Please share it with whom ever you like. Add your experience if you
care too. We all need to band together so the next guy doesn't get taken. I know a lot of people paid a lot for
their ads. Did they get what they paid for?

Sam,
I just got my new phone book. I was exited to see it. Then I looked through it. I'm a man of my word and I expect
nothing less from another man. You told me that I was going to get a full page ad on the second page across from
Allyn's Building Center. I don't see it. I'm not listed under the s's in bold and I am not even listed under general
contractor. I don't see any of my ad listings anywhere in the back of the book. I paid $699.00 for my ads. If I
did this to a customer, I'd be shot and ran out of town. This is a small community, reputation is a key factor
in doing business in a small town. I take great pride in delivering my promise. I've ran by business for 5 yrs.
now and have only had to sign a handful of contracts. I usually do business on a promise and handshake. I really
am disappointed in your product. It's nothing close to what I paid for. I don't even know what to say! Will I advertise
in an other Goldendale only phone book? Sure I will, just not yours!
Heck, you just gave me a good business idea. Since all your customers were excited to advertise in a Goldendale
only phone book and you failed to deliver; not to mention that now they're really mad, somebody can come in and
be a hero. Thanks!
No I don't think I want to start a phone book company, but I know someone just might. You've left the door wide
open. It's just a shame that we work hard for our money and everyone wants to screw everyone over! I spend 1/2
my time alone regaining the trust of my customers just because some bone headed person screwed them over on the
last job. I'll think twice next time. I will probable never get my money back nor a reprint of the phone book,
but I'll be more picky about were I spend my advertising $$$ from now on!
